How long will my Nail Appointment take?
Depending on your chosen services and designs an appointment can be between 2-3.5 hours.
We are not speed merchants with dozens of customers waiting for their turn. All our bookings are
by appointment only. This insures your nail tech has sufficient time to produce high quality, long
lasting and beautiful sets of nails. Any bespoke designs may require more time depending on the
level of detail required.
Your Nail Boxx nail technician will give you an idea of timescales in your initial consultation once
you have sent over your inspiration images for your set. Your consultation is all done via
messenger, WhatsApp or email, you do not need to make a separate visit to the Maidstone nail
salon for this.
Do you offer evening appointments?
Yes, we offer limited evening and weekend appointments. Nail Boxx is an appointment only nail
salon in Maidstone, open Monday to Saturday. We offer all nail services in morning, afternoon and
evening appointments. Please contact us for availability or use our booking app on Facebook.
What should I do if I have an allergic reaction?
Please ensure you inform the salon if you have any allergy related to any chemicals or substances
before your treatment. Please inform the salon immediately if you have any concern that you have
any existing infections, reactions or condition with respect to your nails or hands.
If any reactions should occur please contact your GP and seek medical advice. Do not pull the
nails off as you could damage your natural nails. Removing the extensions/gel polish safely is
important so you will need to contact me for a removal appointment.
What’s the difference between acrylic and gel?
The main difference between gel and acrylic nails is how they’re applied and the product used.
Gel nails are made from a liquid resin that is cured under UV or LED light, while acrylic nails are
made from a mixture of liquid monomer and powder polymer.
What is biab?
BIAB or Builder in a Bottle is a gel-like nail polish applied as an overlay on natural nails or short
extensions. It works like a gel but it dries strong and durable, meaning you’re less likely to chip
between sessions. These products are formulated for natural nails and short enhancements and is
not recommended for long extensions.
Do you do consultations?
Yes, your consultation is all done via messenger, WhatsApp or email, you do not need to make a
separate visit to the Maidstone nail salon for this. Your Nail Boxx nail technician will give you an
idea of timescales once you have sent over your inspiration images for your set. You will be able
to discuss styles, lengths and designs prior to coming in for your appointment and will be given
an initial price based on your requirements.
How long before I need an infill?
Generally speaking we would recommend you have an infill every 2/3 weeks. Sometimes you may
need it sooner, depending on the growth and working environment. Your nail Infills can be booked
in advance at the end of your nail appointment with Nail Boxx.
What aftercare do you advise?
As the majority of nail technicians will advise – Cuticle oil daily, keep hands and nails clean. Use
hand cream and always wear protective gloves when cleaning with chemicals. Our saying at Nail
Boxx is please remember ‘your nails are jewels not tools!’
What is your nail fix policy?
Any nails damaged or broken that are deemed no fault of the customer whether broken, snapped,
cracked or nails that have come off, will be fixed free of charge up to 3 days after application.
After 3 days all nail repairs will be charged from £3.00 per nail depending on the style of nails you
had at your last treatment. Our 3 day guarantee does not include fixing nails that have been
mistreated by the customer.
Please note: Absolutely no refunds will be given once you have left the salon.
What is your cancellation policy?
YOU CAN CANCEL/RESCHEDULE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT
Your appointments are very important to me, and it is reserved especially for you. I understand
that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. Therefore, I respectfully request
appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment
only by going online or over the phone. Notice via text or voicemail is not accepted and will not be
considered as a valid rescheduling of your appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours, you may
reschedule. However, less than a 48-hour notice will result in the charge of the full-service price.
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.
NO SHOWS
Any no shows will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount, minus the deposit. The
cancellation policy allows me time to inform my standby guests of any availability, as well as
keeping my schedule filled, thus better serving everyone.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. At Nail Boxx we require a non-refundable deposit to confirm your appointment. The deposit
amount is set at £20.00 and will come off your treatment total. This is required to try to minimise
last minute cancellations, as this is my job and getting bookings filled at short notice is extremely
difficult with an appointment only service.

What if I am running late to my nail appointment?
I utilise every minute of your appointment time to ensure that your nails are PERFECT!! If you are
late, you may not be able to get exactly what you wanted on your nails. If it’s your first time
coming, please make yourself familiar with the area well before your appointment time. After you
are 15 minutes late, you will need to RESCHEDULE and you will be charged FULL PRICE and
your deposit will be lost. If you are going to be late, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS EARLY AS
POSSIBLE by calling the Nail Salon at: 07969555035.
What should I do if I damage a nail?
Contact me as soon as you can so I can assess the damage and repair or remove the nail safely.
If the nail is left untreated there is a possibility of damaging the nail further and causing damage to
your natural nail’s.
If lifting has occurred keep the nail dry and again contact me as soon as you can to prevent a
(greenie) a bacterial infection caused from moisture getting trapped under the nail.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we are able to offer digital and physical gift cards in any value you require.
What brands do you use?
At Nail Boxx we only use top quality brands and products. Our most used are Glitterbells, Kirsty

Yes, we are able to take card, contactless and apple pay payments, these are our preferred
methods. We are also able to accept cash payments or direct bank transfers.
Please note we require full payment on completion of acrylic extension being applied, prior to
continuing with the service. Unfortunately this is due to spate of recent scammers gaining free
treatments by claiming they are going to get cash from cash machine, but never coming back.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Nail Boxx only has a single nail technician, so space is limited. We are happy for you to bring
