About Us

Hi, I’m Kay, owner of Nail Boxx. I have worked in the beauty industry for over 15 years and am a fully qualified spray tanning, nail & lash extension technician.

Having my own nails professionally done regularly had been a huge part of my own treatment regime, so when the Covid pandemic put a stop to all beauty treatments, salon and nail bar visits, I decided I couldn’t bear not have pretty nails. This made me start researching products,processes and brands and before long I had a starter kit and lots of time on my hands.

Being quarantined along with the rest of the country enabled me to practise daily and really fine tune my skills and develop my bespoke nail art to a very high standard. This became my passion very quickly and I spent every spare minute either doing nails or watching tutorials and product reviews. This culminated in me getting brave enough to post my on creations on some of the well known Facebook groups and getting glowing feedback from many fantastic professional nail artists on a regular basis.

Having spent so much time and effort learning, it seemed a real shame to put it to waste, so I decided to get qualified when the world went back to normal. Since then I have continued with nail art as a passion whilst slowly building a clientele of family and friends where I would work on them from home, alongside my everyday job.

This year I have decided to brave it and go full time self employed, even having my own salon built in my garden. I’m so proud to welcome you to The Nail Boxx, and cannot wait to give the people of Maidstone and beyond beautiful nails xx
